On Stagnation

It's happening! My blog is stagnating... ACK! What to do?!

For this to be a good blog (or any blog really) you must have content: funny content, original content, useful content, or well aggregated content. What's happening at the moment is that I'm loosing interest in writing more, and thus the blog is stagnating! I have lots of ideas (I think) but I just don't have the motivation to make time to write more... I should probably think back to why I started writing in the first place. I guess it was an exercise in transferring ideas onto paper. Man that's an outdated metaphor. The other reason was in the hopes of some how contributing back to the internet. The first one seems to have succeeded much more than the last one, which is reason enough to continue. What needs to happen is that it becomes a habit to update my blog. Creating new routines is always hard and I hope that I will be able to improve my self-will by making myself write at least once a week, if not more.

Ah well, hopefully I will be writing a lot more soon.

ps In case you are wondering what the picture is, it's the first hit on google images for the word stagnation.

I lolled at "man what an outdated metaphor".

If you're looking for advice on how to create habits, you might try Zen Habits :P

I was posting every single day for awhile... for a few months actually, but it was hell. Focus on quality, not quantity. I'd much rather go "Oh! Cool! Wesley posted something!" than "Oh, that was neat..."
